Official Light-Up and Opening Ceremony
Kicking off the Chinatown Chinese New Year 2015 celebrations is the Official Light-Up and Opening Ceremony. Against a dynamic and hi-tech stage backdrop, be entertained by the awe-inspiring staging visual effects and spectacular live performances; musical comprising skits, songs, dance, acrobatic performances and martial arts performed by talented performers from Singapore and China performing troupes.

The official light up and opening ceremony will be followed by more than a month of street light up along the streets of Chinatown. Combining traditions with modern design, be enthralled by the creativity of the contemporary street light-up design. The light-up features a refreshing and innovative Goat theme design conceptualised by Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD).

Festive Street Bazaar and Festive Carnival
With a plethora of brightly lit stalls lining up the streets of Chinatown, visitors can feast on a variety of mouth-watering Chinese New Year delicacies, enjoy the brilliant lights and festive decorations of the stalls and shop for the many traditional goodies from cookies, decorative items, waxed duck and preserved fruits to potted plants and clothing.
