Happy 冬至 – Dongzhi (Winter Solstice)!

This is one of the most important events in Chinese calendar.

Celebrations starts at the longest night on the year – 22nd of December 2013.
This holiday symbolizes winter and also a time for families gatherings.

During this day, Chinese eats a traditional dish called Tangyuan, which is made with rice flour.

Celebrations are connected to Chinese believes in Yin and Yang, which forms harmony and balance in life.

Dongzi Festival is a optimistic time, full of laughs, family gatherings and all night feasting.
