Flash:back/forward is a video installation that celebrates the personal journeys and aspirations of the people working in the arts in Singapore, by examining their past, present and future hopes.

Taking its inspiration from time capsules, a gamut of industry players, including directors, choreographers, performers, managers, writers, designers, builders, production and technical crew were asked to share their reflections on the past, and their hopes for the future.

Each person has been invited to answer two questions about the past and future:

1. What would you say to the “you” from the past?
2. What are your personal artistic aspirations for the future?

Through these interviews with the practitioners, this video installation unearths their memories and dreams, and celebrates the spirit and energy of this community!
